VBCI MK2 T40 - The 8x8 Combat Proven Reference
VBCI MK2 T40 constitutes the latest evolution of the combat-proven French Infantry Fighting Vehicle. The only native IFV, VBCI has proven itself in numerous combat operations and become the main combat system of the French Army. The MK2 version takes advantage from the lessons learned from these engagements to offer major improvements.
The unmanned 40 CTA turret is 4 times more powerfull than 30x173 and can defeat the latest generation threat at a combat range exceeding 2000 m. Coupled with two new generation missiles AKERON MP from MBDA, the T40 remote turret can defeat a Main Battle Tank at 4000 m both in Lock On Before Launch (LOBL) or Lock On After Launch (LOAL) allowing the target re-designation in flight. Moreover thanks to the 60° elevation site of the cannon and the new Anti Aerial Air Burst Ammunition, the RCT40 will contribute to the Counter-UAV capability. The T40 turret family is already in use in France with the Jaguar, UK with the AJAX, Belgium with the Jaguar in 2026 and has recently entered service with the French Navy
