JAGUAR, ARMORED RECONNAISSANCE AND COMBAT VEHICLE
OUR ORGANIZATION
In 2015, Nexter and Krauss Maffei Wegmann (KMW), systems designer and integrator of the Leclerc and Leopard MBT, joined forces as KNDS to become the European leader in land defense. This consolidation unites the strengths and know-how of the two groups to better address the export markets in the face of increasingly active competition and meet the needs of the French and German armies. KNDS forms a group of around 8,270 employees, with an annual turnover of 2.4 billion euro and an order backlog of around 10.6 billion euro. Its product range includes main battle tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, weapons systems including robotics, ammunition, military bridges, customer services, battle management systems, training solutions, protection solutions and a wide range of equipment.
Five years after the merger, the Group’s governance is evolving towards the next phase of integration and development with a new structure composed of a Board of Directors of ten members, including the nominated CEO of KNDS, Mr. Frank Haun. An executive committee, balanced between France and Germany, will support the board of directors and the CEO in the management of KNDS going forward. April 1st 2021, Nicolas Chamussy become the CEO of KNDS France. To guide the group in its strategic priorities and assist in their implementation, he relies on experts from all the trades represented in our company.
