Nexter at the heart of innovation is present at the Defense Innovation Forum

Creator of defense references

As forces protection is a major requirement, Nexter is developing the CAMELEON® camouflage multi-spectral vehicle system, able to adapt automatically to its environment. CAMELEON® uses pixelated screens applied on the armor of the vehicle. An algorithm based on the analysis of the environment of the vehicle elaborates in real time a camouflage adapted to the situation and thus improves its protection whatever the environment (desert, jungle, forest, urban ...). Eventually, CAMELEON® will combine adaptive camouflage technologies in the visible as well as in the infrared.

Digitization of the battlefield is also a strategic issue for the Forces. Nexter takes up the challenge with the complete FINDMP® Tactical Decision Support System, which allows the leader to make quick decisions in an increasingly complex environment in operation, as in training. The FINDMP® Touch Table System merges traditional sandbox, map data and simulation functions.

It makes it possible to reduce the design time of the maneuver and speed up the decision-making in action for the tactical leader, being connected to the information system. It implements in particular 3D visualization technologies, dynamic inter-visibility, and Artificial Intelligence.

As a robotics architect, Nexter Group is able to aggregate the most advanced technologies to provide different sensor management solutions in constrained environments. Nexter manufactures the NERVA® range, land-based mini-robots that combine robustness, endurance and off-road mobility with exceptional modularity, and is currently developing the OPTIO® family of Heavy-duty Versatile Tactical Robots. In its system integrator role, Nexter also uses its robot systems in combination with micro-drones to expand the operational capabilities of vehicles and combatants.
